1. Have an art attack
In the spirit of love, Filipino artists are re-painting their heart installations for Ayala’s year-round public exhibits. Take a stroll around Glorietta to see the works of Mercedes Olondriz and Alessandra Lanot, and Serendra to see that of the Googly Gooeys. Walk through the tunnel leading to Greenbelt 3 to ogle Jaime Zobel de Ayala’s newest contemporary work–a mix of photos and textures that capture the color, vibrancy and energy of the Christmas spirit.
2. Get serenaded by hotties
Wanna see Piolo Pascual sing? Head over to Market! Market! on December 2nd. He’s not your type? Have Xian Lim serenade you at Harbor Point on November 25, and Sam Milby in TriNoma on November 27.
3. Pump up the energy
Dance numbers are always fun, but they’re more fun if they’re world-class. See I Got Stung, a performance inspired by the music of Sting. Directed and choreographed by James Laforteza, the show’s stars–Aubrey and Jamal, former performers of the renowned Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater–will give you a holiday-worthy show.
4. Amp up your Christmas-carolling
If you’re gonna give gifts to carollers, you might as well give ’em to the Manila Symphony Junior Orchestra. They will be touring the metro as part of their fundraising initiative to build their new home, the MSO Recital Hall, at Circuit Lane. Enjoy the magical voices of these young musicians at Market! Market! on Dec 3, Greenbelt on Dec 10, Ayala Malls Southpark on Dec 11, Ayala Malls Solenad on Dec 16, UP Town Center on Dec 17, and Alabang Town Center on Dec 18.
