If you could raid anybody’s closet, who would you choose? If you’re a fashion girl, one of the top answers would most likely be Alexa Chung.
The British It girl is known for her eclectic style that goes from red carpet-ready to laidback chic. Now that she has unveiled an eponymous fashion line, the style maven has shown the world that her sartorial prowess goes beyond just wearing chic clothes. The latest ALEXACHUNG F/W ’17 line called “Prom Gone Wrong” is inspired by retro teen fashion. The line goes from dreamy dresses to suits that is reflective of Alexa’s own style. But while we lust on these pieces, there’s another item that’s worth snagging for Spring.
Just yesterday, Alexa unveiled her very first bag. Given that she has created shoes, outerwear, and jeans, it makes sense that she soon released her own bag, which is bound to be considered an ‘It’ item. After all, it’s not silly to want everything this trendy gal comes out with.
The gorgeous blue gingham tote is a mini bag perfect for the hot season. Whether you’re on vacation or you’re simply strolling around the park, you can count on this Alexa-approved bag to secure your belongings.
The bag is in support of the annual charity initiative, Amex Shop Small, which celebrates local business owners who do big things for their communities everyday. “Supporting small independent businesses has always been important to me because it was how I was brought up – shopping at the local Hampshire butcher or the village shop. Now that I’m an adult with a business of my own, I am acutely aware of how hard it can be to get something up and running”, Alexa shares with Refinery29. “I wanted to make something in conjunction with Amex to celebrate the cornucopia of fantastic small businesses, in the hope that people will continue to support their local independent shops to keep the streets eclectic and alive.”
The Alexa Chung gingham tote retails for £25 (P1,674), which is quite affordable compared to all her designs for ALEXACHUNG. All proceeds from the limited edition bag will go to The Sarabande Foundation, established by Alexander McQueen. The bag is available exclusively at Alexa Chung’s website.
