Amazon is practically everyone’s old reliable when it comes to finding and ordering necessities or any whimsical needs that you’re pining for. Since Amazon Prime’s release in 2005, the subscription service has enabled and stretched much convenience for consumers who need their items immediately with its one day delivery service (sometimes even with drones!), as well as streaming services for music and video and other benefits for a monthly or yearly fee. But the e-commerce titan is expanding their horizons with a fashion line, alongside a plethora of third-party clothing items availble on the site.
The new line is called “Find”, an affordable and trendy selection of clothing with a staggering 500 pieces for womenswear and 200 for menswear which the company has been working on in the past year. Fashion Law cites Amazon’s goal to “tap into the appeal of an array of high fashion labels (for a fraction of the cost)“ and states how the collection takes inspiration from the likes of the fashion industry’s most in-demand brands, including Vetements, Balenciaga, Off-White, and Celine. With that in mind, it seems like we’ll be getting a new version of Zara soon.
Find’s first collection features items such as hot-pink sock boots in stretch satin, two-tone cropped wide leg jeans, and a velvet long-sleeve top in burnt orange with pleated shoulders. Our favorite has to be the velvet knee highs that look like they’re from a Jimmy Choo collection.
The promotional photos look straight out of a fashion editorial and Amazon is publicizing them with a campaign in UK, Germany, Italy, France, and Spain that will include billboards and ads across Instagram and Facebook. And it’s undoubtable that with this chic selection of clothes, if there’s anyone who can give Zara and the Inditex group of brands a run for their money, it’s Amazon.
