Dior’s Latest Collection Takes You To The Wild West

From sheer midi frocks, fringed jackets to western hats, we’re clearly getting a #Diorchella vibe from Dior‘s latest Resort collection. The fashion house‘s creative director, Maria Grazia Chiuri, led the stylish crowd to a nature preserve mountaintop at L.A, with giant hot air balloons at its backdrop.
Inspired by Christian Dior’s Ovale 1951 collection where it featured prints of primitive wall paintings, the collection looked anything but chic and otherworldly. The dresses came in Dior‘s signature silhouette with its corseted bodice, square neckline, and A-line midi skirt (not to mention, the logo strap detail), but elevated with animal paintings-inspired embroideries that gave the ensembles a unique, artistic touch.
