5 Couture Gowns We Can Imagine The Game Of Thrones Cast Would Wear

Every year, Elie Saab’s enchanting couture collection is widely anticipated, the same way that most await the latest season of Game of Thrones. So imagine when the two came together at couture week, it didn’t fail to bless the world of fashion and literary enthusiasts with the most amazing combination ever. It seems Elie Saab is just like the rest of us who’s a major fan of the fantasy series.

For his Fall/Winter ’17 couture collection, the Lebanese-born designer created a range called “A Tale of Fallen Kings”, where it was packed with majestic and whimsical gowns that pay tribute to medieval fashion. The runway show was perfectly decorated in a way that it resembled The Great Hall of Winterfell.

The designs looked straight out of the landscapes of Westeros–some of it even truly resembled the wardrobe of the women from the show. From the dark, dramatic stylings that reminds us of Cersei Lannister to jewel-toned velvets and capes fit for Daenerys Targaryen, the fairytale-inspired line is essentially all about extravagance.
