The MEGA Fashion Week designers gave us a taste of what’s to come for Spring/Summer 2018.
John Herrera’s fascination for intricately printed fabrics, as seen on his previous ‘Agila’ outing, is still apparent in his Spring/Summer 2018 collection called ‘Armada’. As always, he doesn’t just stop there. The global Filipino designer takes it up a notch with his focus on construction and form, creating exaggerated corsets, tailored trench coats, and tiered printed sheer dresses. While the collection maintains a dark sort of romance signature to the designer, this is his most colorful collection yet.
Beauty-wise, the runway look spoke of a moody charm. The models sported a clean and glowing base that was achieved using BYS Hydrating Primer and gold highlight that was swept on the high planes of the face. Surprisingly, there was no need to apply blush—the drama was all on the eyes as a dash of pink pigment was swept on the lower lashline. To finish off the look, the lips were painted in a nude shade with a hint of an ombre effect as the BYS Matte Lipstick in Purple Dawn was dabbed on the inner lip area. And of course, this otherworldly look wouldn’t be complete without crimped hair and matching braids.
