Bold, winged liners and cateyes have been the classic liner look that many of us have probably tried. But quite recently, the regular cateye has been given an upgrade: meet the Negative Space Eyeliner
After seeing the trend on Lily Collins and Emma Watson, young star Ylona Garcia dons the unusually cool eyeliner at the MYX Music Awards. The best part? It’s easy to do, and totally buildable depending on how subtle or obvious you want the negative space to be. Either way, it creates a striking effect!
Here’s how you can achieve the look:
Draw your liner as you would. When you get to the outer corners, draw the outline of a cat eye, but leave the inside space unfilled. Voila!
P.S. Use a liquid liner with a precise tip to help you achieve that on-point outline.
