Following the footsteps of Versace, Balmain, Kenzo and more labels, Swedish high-street label Erdem is joining in H&M’s list of designer collaborations. And as expected, collaborating with a high-fashion designer would mean fans can get their hands on their favorite fashion house at a much affordable cost. So what makes this drop especially exciting and worthy of our pay checks?
Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming collection:
1. The brand’s aesthetic is all about the romance.
Floral dress fans, get your wallets ready. Erdem has been known for using experimental textiles, vibrant prints and detailed craftsmanship all done with a romantic flair. We can’t wait to see how this translates to H&M’s fast-fashion pieces.
2. Alexa Chung, Keira Knightley, and Emma Watson among many others have worn the label’s designs.
Before the collection hit stores, here’s an idea on who already channeled an Erdem creation in the past. Clearly, feminine pieces were aplenty.
3. It’s Erdem Moralioglu’s first ever collection for men.
With the label’s ultra-romantic aesthetic, it would be a feast on the eyes seeing what the designer behind Erdem can do for menswear too. The collaboration’s teaser video gave us a hint of what’s to come: expect floral pajamas and sleek tailored pieces–we might borrow from the boys this time.
