Kendall Jenner will be honored at New York Fashion Week as a Fashion Icon of the Decade. Given that the model is only 21-years-old, this means that she had been a fashion icon since she was 11. Of course, it caused quite the stir among netizens.
Despite her achievements in the last few years–gracing numerous covers and walking down the runway for top designers–many still feel that Jenner doesn’t deserve the title. Some have expressed their anger, saying that it was a terrible decision, while others simply thought that it was “too soon” for the model to be acknowledged as such.
“Girl poses with the same old boring face, didn’t even do 10 diverse photoshoots & y’all giving her ‘Fashion Icon of The decade’ …. Tragic,”one angry Twitter user expressed.

Jenner, who initially grew to fame with the Kardashian-Jenner clan, will be honored together with several others at The Daily Front Row’s fifth annual Fashion Media Awards. This will happen on September 8 during the New York Fashion Week.
