The perfect accompaniment to a smashing outfit would most definitely be the choice of accessories. Miadore has been a staple label amongst the merchandise over at House of Laurel, and we surely have noticed.
Miadore’s cover debut was on MEGA’s August issue featuring Maricar Reyes in awesome androgynous garb (coincidentally, the jacket she wore was from House of Laurel’s Androgyny line) and Yekky Balingit, the designer behind the beautiful accessories brand, shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

Balingit launches yet another super collection for the season aptly named “CZAR”. As House of Laurel releases their new collection inspired by Russian culture, Miadore’s new offering has been stimulated by it as well. “The inspiration came from the intricate and rich history of Russia and it’s fascinating architecture," Yekky shares with MEGASTYLE. “Rajo’s team provided me with a color palette of their collection, and I derived my pieces from there.”

The dessigner also states that as compared to his previous collections, CZAR takes on more vivid and vibrant hues and color combinations, but still maintains the quiet elegance of clear crystals which is a material he uses quite often, stating, “This series was another venue for me to explore and create beautiful pieces. As I revisit my love for colors, the collection is more daring and bold as compared to the designs I’ve made before.”
As for his rule when it comes to accessorizing? “Just like shoes, accessories are also a way of making a lasting impression without even saying a word. So to me, the bigger and chunkier they are, the better. In this day and age, fashion has come a long way from the normal and usual. Know and choose the right accessories for your style.”
As expected, the color combinations the designer uses are what tickles our fancy, and we’re confident that these are sure to fly off the shelves come November 12, when these are launched together with Rajo Laurel’s Russe collection.
Priced from PhP 2650 to PhP 2850, Yekky’s designs are intricate beauties that would be perfect for the season.
