Just when we thought we were done raving about pastel and colorful footwear, Adidas just presented a new range that will make you think otherwise. The brand collaborated with renowned musician and designer Pharrell to remix the aesthetics of the iconic Adidas staple, Stan Smith, and the singer’s first signature model Tennis Hu shoes. This fall 2017, these styles are brought together.
Entitled as the ‘Pastel Pack’, the collection redefines a court silhouette but features the proportions of a runner. The sock-resembling structure, and lightweight, breathable mesh upper makes the shoes easy to wear.
Colors for the Tennis Hu include tonal finishes of Linen Green, Icey Blue, and Tactile Rose, complemented by white colorways with accent details that unite the muted palette of Pharrell Williams and original Adidas tennis aesthetic.
Meanwhile, there are new variations of the Stan Smith, as it gets a color update of Pink, Blue and Light Green, inspired by the new Tennis Hu. Key designs highlight single tone-on-tone colouring, while others follow the traditional Stan Smith model.
Pharrell and Stan Smith front its campaign, which centers on their creative visions. Knowing that Pharrell has been making his mark as an icon in street fashion, it’s thrilling to see his own creative take on the iconic shoes.
Get your wallets ready! The Tennis Hu by Pharrell Williams hit stores on 10 August 2017.
