All the Single Ladies: 5 Places to Spend a Solo Christmas

Spending Christmas alone is starting to sound like a good idea already
by Cessi Treñas Single-Ladies If there’s anything we’ve learned from Justin Bieber circa 2011, it’s that having someone to kiss under the mistletoe sounds like a Christmas dream come true. But, for us single folk who have no so-called shawty to kiss, the yuletide season can be just as happy. With some time off to ourselves, it may just be due time to give ourselves the well-deserved rest and relaxation we need. Starting the holiday season off on the right foot, we count the best ways to spend a solo Christmas:
Pamper-Up Images: Rhea Bue (@iamthedoll) and Nail Spa (@nailspa_ph) Most women would agree that a quick spa getaway and sporadic salon days are a quintessential element of daily life, and with good reason: occasionally spoiling ourselves is both pleasurable and necessary. A few days singly spent easily gives us the time we need to appease our high-tension woes. Drop by Neo Day Spa, Bonifacio Global City’s embodiment of Japanese zen, for an aromatherapy massage or treat yourself to a manicure at the luxurious Maîson by Nail Spa.
Z-Hostel Image: Looloo Loosen up and set your gears into vacation mode over a few drinks. The Z Hostel’s Roofdeck is a good place to start, what with its down-to-earth selection of drinks, feel-good food, and stunning view of the Makati skyline. Still a little angsty about spending the season solo? Order some of their signature drinks, aptly named Whatever, May Forever, and Puñeta.

Topping our list of singles-friendly food spots is every wannabe Parisian’s heaven-on-earth, Ladurée. Help yourself to a soothing cup of warm house-crafted tea, and satisfy your sweet tooth with a macaron or two while you’re at it. Ramen Yushoken, Alabang’s worst kept secret, is another prime spot for a solo binge-eating session. Deservedly popular for balancing both size and flavor, the restaurant’s Tantanmen ramen captures all the holiday cheer you’ll need in a bowl.   Connect with!
