We won’t lie; Jo Malone’s launch got us excited, and we’ve been on our toes waiting to hear about which of our favorite labels will set up shop in Manila next. In the meantime, we can dream. Read on to discover our store lust list.

With no celebrity endorsements and an almost clinical take on branding, Aesop is the epitome of skincare cool. The Australian-born cosmetic line offers more than its enviable “it brand” status, delivering targeted, high-quality skin solutions for every skin problem. Aesop’s effective products have gained it a cult following, with its anti-oxidant-heavy Parsley Seed line remaining the most popular among the label’s devotees. Products from Aesop’s Parsley Seed regimen are stocked online on Beauty MNL, but are currently sold out.

Blanc & Eclare

Borne of ex-girl group member Jessica Jung’s minimalist fashion sense, Blanc and Eclare is built on the timeless philosophy of less is more. Understanding slow and steady wins the race, the label has released their products gradually, first opening with a selection of sunglasses, followed by a denim line. The latest addition to their roster of modern classic goods is a winter ready-to-wear collection made up of double-breasted and cocoon coats, knitwear, and cozy turtlenecks. With no announcement of a Philippine branch opening thus far, we’re thankful we’ve got the internet. Get a little taste of B&E’s modern classic aesthetic through their online store!

The Row

After transitioning from child stars to leading ladies, the Olsen twins seamlessly stepped into their roles of style heroines. Mary-Kate and Ashley stepped out of the Hollywood limelight and established The Row in 2006, focusing on progressive brand-building while their acting careers took the back seat. Their recognition as 2012’s Womenswear Designers of the Year proved this to be a smart choice; their brand had developed into one that mirrors their own style philosophies and understands the contemporary woman. With the label’s vision rooted in relaxed elegance, The Row’s offering of eyewear, bags, and ready-to-wear speak the language of effortless luxury and minimalism. 

Acne Studios

We think we speak for all women when we say we dream of bringing home that iconic pink paper bag. Serving up both mens and womenswear, Acne advocates a straightforward approach to the riddling concept of fashion. The same vein of easy chic trickles down to the brand’s collaborations, which include a memorable denim tie-up with Alber Elbaz, a furniture line inspired by Carl Malmsten’s Nya Berlin sofa, and a three-piece collection of cross-gender blouses. While Acne’s list of locations has yet to include Manila, we’ve got good news: they ship worldwide.


Home to an extensive selection of cosmetic labels and an assortment of house brand products, Sephora is the quintessential go-to spot for skincare, make-up, and fragrances. Don’t forget hair care–this cosmetic wonderland also houses crowd favorites Bumble & Bumble, Drybar, and Josie Maran. At this point, we’re a little beyond asking for pasalubong from Sephora; we’re ready for our own brick and mortar branch.
