New York Fashion Week is finally here! While the runway collections and street style may give you more than enough of eye candy, it is important to feed your stomach as well. Here is a list of the chicest places to visit during NYFW:
1. Esther & Carol
Named after the owner’s mothers, Esther and Carol, this restaurant has a fresh take on American comfort food by bringing health to the table. They serve you dishes without making you feel guilty, which is great for any health-conscious individual. Recommended dishes are their buttermilk fried chicken with jalapeno Aleppo syrup and their seared salmon with asparagus puree.
2. Sant Ambroeus
This place is said to be a contemporary take on the Italian bistro setting, combining the best of downtown and uptown. Their relaxed yet elegant atmosphere will allow you to interact with the cool crowd while being served with favorites such as their burrata over roasted zucchini, basil pesto and baked salty granola.
Craving for some Japanese in between watching shows? Stop by Sugarfish, an LA favorite that focuses on the most pure and basic ingredients with their sashimi, sushi and hand roll courses that will definitely leave you wanting more. It is recommended to try their Trust Me or their Trust Me Lite chef’s choice menus.
4. The Rose Bar & Maialino
After a long day, unwind in the intimate, sexy The Rose Bar for a delicious cocktail. The place’s atmosphere–which features bold artwork and velvet seating–will automatically serve as an escape from the city as you sip on one of their unique cocktails. If you’re hungry, simply head across the hotel lobby to dine in Maialino, which gives you a wide selection of Italian favorites.
5. Le Coucou
Last but definitely not the least, pay Le Coucou a visit for French dishes by renowned chef Daniel Rose. Enjoy these dishes together with martinis and champagne in chic interiors designed by Roman and Williams. Don’t forget to try their Fleurs de courgettes farcies: lobster stuffed squash blossoms with yogurt, mint, dill and cucumber.Featured image: Gramercy Park Hotel
