In case you missed it, Gabbi Garcia‘s #MakingMEGA documentary premiered last night via one cozy, viewing party, fittingly held in Manila’s millennial pink spot, Early Night. And being the true fashion girl that she is, MEGAstyle’s first ever print cover girl made quite an entrance in a fresh off the runway blazer and fringe micro skirt by Yong Davalos, which best displayed her mile-long legs. With a scene-stealing like this, it only makes sense that she kept her beauty game less distracting, allowing her ensemble to take center stage. Gabbi relied on her signature look of warm-colored lids, sleek, middle-parted hair, and most of all, glossy lips.
Luckily, we caught up with the makeup artist she has on speed dial, Jason Delos Reyes, and he dished a couple of Gabbi’s beauty secrets.
On the exact lipstick shade she used during the premiere:
“[I used a] mixture of Pat McGrath’s Matte Trance lipstick in 1995 and Flesh”
On how to make lipstick last all throughout the night:
“I usually prep her lips with lip balm and apply lip liner to make her lipstick last.”
On applying eye makeup to hooded lids:
“For hooded lids like Gabbi’s, proper placement of the eyeshadow is a must. I always place Gabbi’s eyeshadow higher than her lids. During the premiere, I used a waterproof liquid eyeliner to define her upper lash line and to make her eyes pop.”
