Gigi and Bella Hadid are undeniably two of the biggest supermodels in the world right now. From walking for major designers to scoring the biggest high-fashion campaigns, it’s no doubt that they’re the stars of the moment. But just like famous reality TV stars (think Kendall Jenner), a great part of their success was seen to by their mother and former supermodel, Yolanda Hadid.
We’ve seen Yolanda as a regular in the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and now she’s coming back to our screens as a host for a new modeling competition show called Making A Model with Yolanda Hadid. Anyone who has ever watched fashion-oriented shows like America’s Next Top Model and Project Runway can agree that “supermodels aren’t born overnight,” as Hadid says. The series will be comprised of eight episodes where she will teach, train, and challenge six pairs of teen models, along with their “momagers” to work together and create a successful brand. These pairings will be living under the same roof and will be tested through physical, mental, and emotional training that are necessary to craft an extraordinary model.
Along with Yolanda, her daughters Gigi and Bella will also offer support and guidance to aspiring young models both on and off the runway. With the Hadids’ experiences in modeling, the contestants are sure to witness quite a powerhouse. There will be a weekly $5,000 prize for their future careers, and the winner will receive a management contract with Yolanda Hadid, as well as the potential opportunity to be represented by IMG Models in New York.
Making A Model With Yolanda Hadid premieres January 11th on Lifetime. Watch the trailer below!
