Highlighting is old news to every beauty addict. But just when we thought we finally mastered the art of highlighting and strobing, Anthea Bueno–the makeup pro behind the looks of teen star Ylona Garcia, Kelsey Merritt and even Tricia Gosingtian‘s dreamy bridal–shares this one highlighter trick that will take your glow to a whole new level.
Apparently, layering isn’t only a thing for your ensembles–you can actually use it for your beauty game. With so many highlighters out in the market, from liquids to creams, you don’t have to settle for one type of highlighter if you want that on-fleek sheen.
Try out Anthea’s trick below!
“First, I use the Koh Gen Do liquid highlighter after applying foundation. I then reach for the Becca Pressed Skin Perfector Highlighter and apply that over the liquid highlighter (sometimes I also use Laura Mercier’s Face Illuminator). Layering liquid and powder highlighter formulas will help you achieve that lit-from-within glow“.
“But if I want a more subtle look, I only use liquid since it looks more natural. P.S. It depends on what foundation you use too–I used the Candleglow foundation from Laura Mercier for its overall sheer but luminous finish”.
