Marc Jacobs is no stranger to choosing an iconic figure to front his beauty line. Joining the likes of Kaia Gerber and Winona Ryder, he recently tapped British model and activist Adwoa Aboah to front the debut of Marc Jacobs Beauty’s Le Marc Liquid Lip Crayon with an editorial shot by renowned photographer, David Sims.
It’s not the first time that Jacobs and Aboah have worked together. In fact, the partnership is a reunion of sorts as the renowned designer helped Aboah break onto the fashion industry in her earlier days.
The London native has come a long way since her first New York Fashion Week show. Just recently, she earned herself a nomination for Model of the Year at the 2017 British Fashion Council’s Fashion Awards. “Marc gave me my first fashion show in New York City,” Aboah shares with Stylecaster.
Not only is Aboah a force in fashion but she’s also the founder of Gurls Talk, a feminist platform with the aim of empowering young women around the world.
Apart from Aboah, the star of the campaign is also the new Le Marc Liquid Lip Crayon, which is the first liquid lipstick that comes in the form of a lip crayon. “Marc Jacobs Beauty is really exciting for me; when I was at school I would always struggle to find make-up that suited my skin tone and I certainly wouldn’t find anything from a luxury brand. I’m glad that girls don’t have that problem anymore,” Aboah shares with Vogue. Clearly, the Rogue lip shade looks great on her. Take it from the campaign images below!
The Le Marc Liquid Lip Crayon is expected to release this December both in stores and online at marcjacobsbeauty.com!
