Unveiling Tod’s latest women’s line, artist Thomas De Falco greeted the guests with a living sculpture in an avant-garde show, featuring iconic supermodel, Naomi Campbell. The performance piece called ‘Wrapping’ is an encounter between arts and craft, where the audience had a full view of models standing and sitting backwards on steps wrapped in sand and white leather. The experimental artist looks back on the ancient art of loom woven tapestries during this performance.
Encapsulated in all-white room for the reveal, the models for the Fall-Winter 2017 collection descended from a staircase in the most elegant ensembles, distinctly clad in pieces the labels does best– leather. Tod’s is one of those brands that are usually described as ‘traditional’ and ‘functional’. But for this season, there was a high-fashion reinvention of looking sleek and centralized.
The collection holds an elegant, and natural vibe, designed for outdoors–it’s fitting for fashion girls who travel in modern sophistication. Expect timeless pieces such as knits, leather jackets, and menswear-inspired boyfriend coats, to name a few.
The entire collection is an embodiment of the outdoor spirit–a workshop of timeless icons crafted in its most excellent quality, and it truly fits the modern Tod’s woman.
Tod’s is located at Greenbelt 4 and Rustan’s Shangri-La, and Shangri-La Plaza.
