After their successful collaboration last year, local brand Plains & Prints taps designer Vania Romoff–a trusted designer of Anne Curtis, Janine Gutierrez, and more stars–for a capsule collection that’s equal parts classic and romantic. Set aside the avante-garde designs, for Vania, feminine dressing boils down to one thing: making a woman feel good about herself. Having that in mind, the local designer sticks to clean silhouettes with a signature touch of romantic details—think dainty ribbon straps, delicate embellishments, and flounce.
Luckily, her ultra-feminine aesthetic can now be worn for everyday wear with her latest collection for Plains & Prints. She brought the flounce and romance to the Filipino brand’s classic silhouettes. The 15-piece collection features printed frocks, romantic blouses, classic trousers, and more.
In an exclusive interview with MEGAstyle.ph, Vania shares “This collection is inspired by everything local–from the bougainvillea to the Ita prints–I always put the Filipinas in mind. Luckily for me, I have collaborated with Plains & Prints before so I know what their market is, and what kind of women buy their clothes. Of course, it started with my aesthetics–which is romantic, feminine and easy–but more than anything, I took into consideration the brand’s signature style. I designed everything in such a way that it was approachable and wearable”.
